The shot above is of my old family homestead, located in Gang Mills, New York.
Since I am moving soon to the Maryville, TN area, it might be a while before I get back to New York, and I thought I'd pay my old family home a visit.
Many, many great memories are there - my brother and I got our first motorcycles in 1972, and we spent thousands of hours exploring the state land, forest, ponds, dirt roads and more.
Unfortunately, most of the area we used to ride is now posted, developed, or being developed. Maybe down in NC or TN I can find a place to have similar memories in the upcoming years.
After stopping by to see the house, I went on to "the hill climb", and finally up to erwin pond. I got there about 7pm, and found 2 groups of people fishing .. sure wish I had gotten there about 4pm with an easy chair and my fly rod, and even my tent and sleeping gear as it would have been a lot of fun.
Hopefully my brother Jim can get his own bike soon, and maybe we can relive or build some new memories like the ones we have.
